Curation Labels

Combined with the automatically assigned publication status labels, Curation Labels may be used to indicate different curation statuses of datasets. The overview in the table below shows possible curation statuses a dataset may have in DataverseNO. The statuses are numbered for ease of reference. The numbering does not imply a strict order between all statuses in the overview. Each dataset does not necessarily need to go through all statuses. Curation Labels can only be assigned to dataset drafts. Only one label can be active at a time. An assigned Curation Label will be automatically removed once a new label is assigned. After a dataset draft is published, all Curation Labels will automatically be removed. The column Curator Action describes what the curator needs to do to handle manual Curation Labels. Curation Labels are not visible for depositors.

This is how you assign or change a Curation Label: When you are on the landing page of a dataset draft, click on Publish Dataset, select Change Curation Status, and select one of the statuses. To remove a label without assigning a new one, click on Publish Dataset, select Change Curation Status, and then click on Remove Current Status.

The columns to the right of the column Curation Labels in the table below contains search URLs resolving in overviews of datasets having the status at stake in the different institutional collections. To access these overviews, you need to be logged in as a curator to your institutional collection.
